Why in winter?
It may seem that winter is not an appropriate season to perform canoe tourism. We definitely don’t agree with this statement. We think that winter is the perfect season to organize an exciting canoe trip down one of the lowland rivers. Canoeing in the freezing river makes an unforgettable impressions, you can admire the beauty of the winter landscape and feel a dose of adrenaline. Also during the winter thaws, canoeing conditions don’t differ from those that occur in late autumn or in early spring. Sometimes, one can be lucky enough to find very high water level – in such situation a calm stream may transform into a rapid river, and the coastal meadow may change into a lake. During the winter, the nature is beautiful and unique. This should be enough to put up with the whole discomfort connected with winter canoeing. The photos can’t even partially reflect the beauty of the ice views. The sun shines through the little needles, which were settled by the rime at reeds and branches hanging above the water. At evenings and mornings, the mist raises over the water. The birds, such as: ducks and swans, pass the winter by the river. The paths treaded by the beavers may be noticed at the riverbanks. This simply has to be seen, one cannot describe it. Setting out on the wonderful winter adventure is the only way to experience this beauty.http://www.kajak.org.pl
