The route is about 16 km and takes an average of 4–5 hours. We start in Rybaki near Kościerzyna, where the wide and calm Trzebiocha allows a stress-free launch – even if it's your first time with a kayak. The river sometimes spreads out wide, giving time for contemplation, only to lead you moments later into a secluded, narrow stretch beneath the tree canopy.
Along the way you pass through three charming lakes – Sudomie, Mielnica and Żołnowo – each with a different character. You may meet wild birds: grey herons, ducks and even kingfishers. It's a feast for lovers of nature and photography, in an intimate atmosphere without crowds.
At Grzybowski Młyn a small portage awaits – a pleasant change. You can stop here and buy freshly smoked fish straight from the local fish farm. Past the mill the river speeds up, the current becomes gently brisk and the bottom more varied – a joy for the more active, though the route stays easy. Reaching Loryniec (already on the Wda) it's worth taking a short break at the landing – from here the river is already very calm and about 2 hours remain to the finish.
The trip ends in Wdzydze Kiszewskie by the picturesque Lake Wdzydze. On site you can organise a bonfire, rest at the landing or visit the Kashubian Ethnographic Park – one of the most interesting open-air museums in Poland.
Yes. It's an easy, calm route with a friendly current – great for families with children and beginners. There are 2 portages on it that add variety to the day.
There are two options: the Loryniec Kayak Landing (a public municipal site) and the PTTK Station in Wdzydze Kiszewskie (private grounds – to be arranged with the station staff).
You can get out wherever you like – the banks are accessible, there are beautiful meadows and clearings. Please leave the spot clean and take your rubbish into the kayak – we'll collect it at our base.
Yes, there are two possible finishing points: the Loryniec Kayak Landing (past the bridge on the right) and the Bar U Jarosi (signposted on the left). Important: if the trip is to end somewhere other than agreed, the whole group finishes (not individual kayaks) and you need to let us know in advance so we can plan the logistics. We do not pick up groups partially.
